Red Nose Day

It's Comic Relief's Red Nose Day on Friday so I thought I'd buy my red nose ready for the big day. There's nine different noses to collect this year and you don't know which one you've got until you open the bag. You may even find one of the twelve golden noses which are hidden in surprise bags across the land, and if you're lucky enough to find one in Sainsbury's, Oxfam or the online shop, you will win a once in a lifetime experience.

I didn't find a golden nose, I didn't even find the Snotty Professor who I was hoping for, instead I got Nosebot. Nosebot hopes that robotic noses will replace human ones, removing the revolting human habits of sneezing and snot making.

Have you got yours yet?

  1. I have just realised that although I have got the children one, I don't have one! I will remedy that this week.

    1. I only bought one for myself, I'm sure Eleanor will sort herself out. I think there'll be lots of things going on at School.

    1. I should have explained really. Comic Relief is a British charity which raises money to help disadvantaged people at home and abroad. Red Nose Day is a biennial telethon, part of Comic Relief's appeal, which alternates each year with its sister project, Sport Relief. As the name suggests, it's all about fun and having a good time whilst raising money for such a worthwhile cause. These red noses are sold for £1 each with at least 60p of each sale going to the charity.

  7. I haven't got one yet and so far the kids have missed a trick and not realised! I'm sure that will change this week and I'll be stopping on the way to school to get some!

    1. I'm sure they'll soon realise as it's a big thing in the schools around here, not sure if it's the same where you are. Primary schools especially have dress down days with the kids being allowed in to school wearing red for a donation and there's usually bun sales on too.

  8. I would love one but my "iffy" sinuses preclude it. I usually slap on some lippy, it is the only reason that I have some. I may try a knitted one though, it could be just the job and may not stop me breathing.

    1. A knitted nose sounds just the job, you could fasten elastic to it to keep it in place.

    1. That's disappointing getting two the same. Perhaps you could swap with someone.

  10. I have four! Red noes that is, not four normal noses, that would just be odd! No gold ones though. They have been very naughty getting up to things around the house, so I will share their antics on Friday! xx

    1. It's a shame we haven't found any of the gold noses, that would be good. Ooooh, I can't wait to hear what your red noses have been up to.

    1. I suppose you could spend a fortune trying to get the one you want, though it's all for a good cause. I'm looking forward to Friday, there's usually lots of events happening and lots of funny things on tv.

  14. We have Red Nose Day too, but just ones you stick on your face or large ones for the bonnet of your car. Pity you didn't get the one you wanted, but a big congrats for your giving ways. Take care.

    1. These are the ones you put on your nose, but we have the large car ones too. I might buy another yet and hope I get the Professor.

  15. I haven't bought any noses this year, in past years the kids always had a hard time getting them to stay on, then the dog gets them, (yes Farley) and then they circulate around the house, and disappear for a while. I'm sure if I looked I can find one around here. :)

    1. Ha ha, I can just imagine Farley running around with a red nose on. I don't know where the noses from past years have gone.
