We called at my mum and dad's so that they could see her on her way to her friend's house. These photos were taken there.
The back of the dress is laced up.
All the girls were already there when we arrived at her friend's house, we were still waiting on a couple of the boys though.
It had been raining heavily in the morning but luckily, it had brightened up by the afternoon. It was very windy though and the girls kept having to adjust their hair.
They all scrub up well, they don't look like this when they're coming out of the school gates.
Sharing a joke.
BFF's. (Best Friends Forever).
The obligatory limo line up photo.
They all managed to fit inside the limo, three of the boys were seated at the back.
I knew Eleanor would be the first one with a glass in her hand. Like mother like daughter.
The prom was held at the Centenary Pavilion at Leeds United Football Club. Here they are arriving.
Eleanor and her date.
After the prom, they all went back to Eleanor's friends house where they partied the night away in to the small hours, after which, they crashed where they dropped. Eleanor had a fabulous night and memories were made which I'm sure she'll remember for a very long time. Just the GCSEs to get over and done with now.
Fabulous! Memories indeed!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure she'll have lots of lovely memories from last night. She's home revising now but she keeps breaking off to tell me something else she'd just remembered about the night.
DeleteHow pretty they all looked, even the boys! I remember my senior prom well, first time I stayed out all night, always had a curfew before.
ReplyDeleteThey did, they all looked fabulous. Proms are a newish thing here, they never had them when I was at school.
Deleteawh she looks beautiful.........hope they all had a good night.
ReplyDeleteThey all had a brilliant time. I think they'll be buzzing all weekend.
DeleteWow, they all look fantastic. Eleanor's dress really stands out with the color and sparkle of it. I'm glad they had fun. Thanks for sharing her special event. :)
ReplyDeleteI heard one of the girls say that you could see Eleanor on everyone's photos because of the colour of her dress, it's such a bright colour.
DeleteBeautiful.
ReplyDeleteLove from Mum
xx
They all were. They'd all gone to so much effort, a great turn out.
DeleteThey all look ab fab! And that dress is so brilliant. I love the back lacing it is so effective!
ReplyDeleteIt took me ages to lace her in to the dress, but I agree, it looks very effective.
DeleteIt sounds like quite an event indeed! The sparkles of the last post all make sense now when you see them in their ensemble. I'm glad she had a great night and made some fab memories.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes,
Tash from vintagepretty.org
The prom is what they've all been talking about ever since they started Year 11, Eleanor's a bit down now that it's all over.
DeleteOh my goodness they all look so grown up! Eleanor looks stunning, and it sounds like they all had a brilliant time.
ReplyDeleteI hope the exams are all going well.
Gill xx
I was in school for something on Thursday and I saw the Year 7's, I couldn't believe how little and young they looked, hard to believe how much they grow up in secondary school. They all had a fantastic time, something they'll remember for a very long time.
DeleteWhat a stunning dress, she looks absolutely beautiful. So glad they all had a good time.
ReplyDeleteEleanor knew that this was the dress she wanted as soon as she tried it on. It was something quite special, I think Eleanor felt like a princess in it. We watched most of them arrive at the venue and they all looked fabulous, some really beautiful dresses.
DeleteShe looked fabulous and so did her friends. That lime green certainly stood out and glad they all had a good time. Now for a relaxing weekend ready to study for her GCSE's. Take care.
ReplyDeleteYou really couldn't miss Eleanor in that dress, it was so bright. It's a shame that they've had to settle down straight after the prom to some revision though, the exams start tomorrow so they're having to work this weekend.
DeleteShe looks absolutely gorgeous. I bet they had a great time x oh to be that young again! (sigh)
ReplyDeleteThey all had a fabulous time, I think we'll be hearing all about it for some time to come.
DeleteBeautiful pictures and great memories!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they'll have all taken away many memories from the night, they enjoyed the whole experience so much.
DeleteGood to see that Eleanor and her friends enjoyed themselves. Flighty ss
ReplyDeleteThey had a wonderful time. I think it definitely lived up to their expectations, and more.
DeleteEleanor looks beautiful and such a fabulous dress, everyone looked great, so glad they all had a great time memories indeed xx
ReplyDeleteEleanor had a lovely time trying on all the dresses when we went to choose one, but she knew that this was the one as soon as she tried it on. The girls at the prom all looks fantastic, there were some really beautiful dresses.
DeleteOh Jo she looks beautiful as do her friends. Did you cry? Rob never went to his & I think he has always regretted it though he does attend the May balls at uni! Harry on the other hand adores watching the American school programmes on the kids channel & has been waiting for his since primary school!
ReplyDeleteI always have a little tear in my eye at any event as I was seriously ill when Daniel and Eleanor were very young and I didn't think I'd even see Eleanor start school, so these events are very poignant, I know how lucky I am to get to see them reach all their milestones. Daniel didn't go to his prom either, he said it just wasn't his thing, though like Rob, he's attends balls at uni.
DeleteEleanor looked beautiful. The dress was certainly bright but it looked fantastic on Eleanor and no you couldn't of missed her. They all look so grown up don't they.
ReplyDeleteThey do look grown up, it's amazing how quickly they do grow up once they start secondary school. I can't believe she leaves school in ten days.
DeleteEleanor looks beautiful. Her dress is stunning and she looks such a confident young lady. You must have been bursting with pride!
ReplyDeleteWhat a handsome couple she and her date look together.
Like you say I bet there will be many memories made to treausre for years to come.

I was bursting with pride, they all deserve a chance to let their hair down after the work they've put in for their GCSEs, though I'd have preferred it if the school had arranged it for after the exams. They all had a wonderful time and that's the main thing.
DeleteEleanor, Dress, Friends all beautiful!!! Glad that it all went so well for them and that they had a great time. xx
ReplyDeleteI was nervous when they set off, I thought there may be a few mishaps, espcially as they were having tomato soup as a starter for their meal. I don't think it would mix very well with the dress, but everything ran smoothly, thank goodness. A night to remember.
DeleteShe looks gorgeous, Jo. They all do. And so grown up! I don't remember looking that grown up when I was at school!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how quickly they seem to grow up. I was looking at some photos last night from three years ago and Eleanor looked like a little girl, now she looks like a young lady.
DeleteEleanor looks beautiful. Pleased to see that all the boys made an effort too. Glad they all had a great time.
ReplyDeleteIt was nice to see that the boys had made as much of an effort as the girls had, they all scrubbed up very well. We're waiting on the official photos now, from what I've seen so far, they look really good.
DeleteShe looks fabulous ... that is a wonderful dress and suits her perfectly :)
ReplyDeleteEleanor knew it was the dress she wanted as soon as she put it on. She'd tried a few others on first but none had the effect on her that this one did. I think she felt like a million dollars wearing it.
DeleteWhat an amazing dress, she looks stunning. So glad she had a wonderful time, good luck for the exams - it's all happening in this house too (SAT's and A Levels mainly)
ReplyDeleteThey all had a brilliant time. Thank you for your good luck wishes for the exams. I don't envy you having two lots of exams in your house, we've had GCSE's, AS levels and then A levels for the last three years with Daniel and now we're starting over with Eleanor. Hope everything goes well for yours too.
DeleteShe looks really pretty, great dress! Mikayla has her prom at the end of the month, we still have some finishing touches, and she is so excited!
ReplyDeleteEleanor loved her dress, I don't know what we're going to do with it, or more to the point, where we're going to put it, now that the prom's over. Proms are so exciting for them, I'm sure Mikayla will get even more excited as her prom approches. Hope she has a fab time.
