Tristar

We were just leaving the house on Saturday morning when I noticed this star in the sky made by three separate planes.

I thought it quite unusual for three planes to cross the exact same place leaving a trail behind to create a star. I wonder where they were all heading.

  2. Well spotted. I see lots of vapour trails across here but I've never seen ones like that. Flighty xx

    1. I've never seen anything like this before either. I grabbed my little pocket camera, which I carry around with me in my bag, as soon as I saw it.

    1. It does, doesn't it? I wonder how many times that happens.

  4. That's really cool, I've never seen this before. My son was fixated on contrails when he was a toddler. He was a late talker and couldn't articulate any words until he was almost three. But whenever he saw a contrail, he went nuts, pointing and shouting at it. :)

    1. I've never seen it before either. Daniel hated planes when he was a toddler, in fact, he hated anything which made a loud noise. If there was a low flying plane over the house he would hide under the table.

  5. Oh my goodness, how funny the planes did that.
A good blogger notices stuff like that!

    1. I rarely leave home without a camera these days, you never know when a photo opportunity will arise.

  7. We often get contrails in the sky over our house, but usually all are roughly parallel, I have never seen anything like this! What an amazing sight. I hope that they were all off to wonderful places! xx

    1. I've never seen anything like this before either. I expect they were all going to different places.

  8. Flight radar pro. That's the app that will tell you exactly who and where the planes were going. My Dad loves it!

    1. I might have known there'd be an app, there's an app for everything these days.

  9. That's brilliant and so glad you actually looked up and saw it, as I suppose we all lead such busy lives these days, we miss the smaller things. Maybe one was from Oz. (giggle) Thanks for sharing. Take care.

    1. I wonder how many little things like this are missed because we just don't take the time to look. You never know, one just may have been from Oz, or heading out there.

  11. If we didn't take the time to look up once in a while, we'd miss so many things, wouldn't we? :0) xx

    1. We certainly would. I try to make a point of looking up when I'm in town centres as there's so many interesting buildings, but we always seem to be in a hurry when we're shopping.

  12. They look a little like to trails that the jets make when they go over.

    1. That's what they are, contrails. I've never seen them make a star before though.
