Let's Picnic

While we were in Leeds last weekend, we popped in to BHS. I wasn't supposed to be looking in their homewares department but I think they do really lovely things so I couldn't resist a little peek. I found these gorgeous melamine tumblers.

Each tumbler carries a different floral or butterfly design and they're so colourful.

They were on a 20% discount so I couldn't resist buying them. They'll be ideal to pop in the picnic bag. I'm not sure any of them are quite Mick or Daniel's colour, but Eleanor and I will enjoy using them.

Of course, they're ideal for using at home too.

There's plates and bowls in the same range which I'd love but I'll have to save up for them first.

    1. They will if the weather's good. I wish I'd had something like this when the kids were little, instead we had cheapy plastic cups.

  3. Really pretty, they will brighten up the picnic table, they would be just idea for around our pool area as we try really hard not to take any glassware up there.

    1. We usually take a picnic with us wherever we go so I'm sure they'll get plenty of use. It would be nice to use them in the sunshine though.

  5. I think they are beautiful. Using pretty things makes meal times and picnics more enjoyable I think.
BHS do tend to have good designs, their lighting ranges are always good.

    1. There always seems to be a sale on in BHS and I think the prices are quite reasonable anyway. There were some really pretty picnic baskets which I quite fancied but I listened to my head instead of my heart as we always take a cool box with us on our picnics. I don't think food would stay as fresh in a picnic basket and the drink definitely wouldn't be nice and cold as it is in the cool box.

    2. I would love to have a picnic basket Jo, they look so amazing! But I am with you, they are just not practical and do not keep the food cold. But every time I see them on display, I get an urge to buy one!

    3. I'm exactly the same. I'm sure I'll succumb eventually, even if it's just to carry the plates and mugs in, we'll end up having to carry the cool box and a picnic basket, they're such pretty things.

    1. The buddleia will really attract them, you should have a garden full of butterflies soon. I think my favourite tumbler is the pink flowery one but I like them all.

  13. I have 'a thing' about butterflies so lots of items in our home has this motif. The picnic cups are very pretty. When I go into town I'll have to visit BHS and have a look at the range!
