Since I got my new camera, Eleanor has commandeered my bridge camera and has been busy snapping away. I'm quite impressed by some of the photos she's come up with, she's definitely got more of an eye for photography than I have, and she isn't afraid to mess about with the settings either. I thought I'd show you a few of the many photos she's taken.
This first lot are taken in the local woods when she took Archie for a walk with Mick. She had Mick climb a tree and dangle his legs to get Archie in to the pose she wanted. I thought it very clever, but it's a good job it was Mick with her and not me, you wouldn't catch me climbing a tree.
The next ones are taken at Lotheron Hall when we went over the bank holiday weekend. I really like the one of the tree with Mick and Archie in the background.
She's taken lots of photos of Archie. I don't suppose she can resist that cute smushy mushy face.
Do you have a favourite?
Hi Jo, she has taken some very nice pictures! The dogs do make great models don't they. :)
ReplyDeleteI find myself taking so many photos of Archie, he's just so photogenic.
DeleteEleanor has a good eye! My absolute favourite is the dandelion head and the last one of cutsey Archie, of course!

I think Eleanor's done really well, she has it in her mind's eye how she wants to capture something, and I think she manages it.
DeleteWow! I love her style. I love the tree one as well, just nicely artistic without being pretentious. She must be pleased with her work?
ReplyDeleteShe's really pleased. Of course, it helps being digital. None of this seeing what we'd just taken when we were kids, we had to wait for the film to be developed.
DeleteIt looks like Eleanor has been bitten by the photography bug! Perspective, the hardest thing to 'learn' in photography, has been used to good effect in the dandelion clock photo - well done to her.

She's enjoyed photography for a while now, but she's only had a cheap little camera. She did wonders with it though. She's after a new camera for Christmas now.
DeleteVery artistic - the last one is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteLove from Mum
xx
The last one is definitely the cutest.
DeleteEleanor certainly has got a good eye for composition. Love the first one and the dandelion head and the daisy, hard to choose just one favourite!

It is hard to choose just one favourite, that's why I ended up putting so many in the post. I think she's done really well with them.
DeleteWell done to Eleanor on taking such good photos. As for a favourite I think that it has to be the yellow flower. Flighty xx
ReplyDeleteI think that photo is quite striking.
DeleteI am very impressed. The photos are beautiful. I just point, snap away and hope for the best!
ReplyDeleteYou and me both. I really must learn more about photography now that I have my new camera though.
DeleteThese are great, she does have an eye for an unusual composition. I think some of those close-ups of the plants are really lovely. x
ReplyDeleteEleanor's always enjoyed art and I think it comes through in her photos. She's managed the close ups really well.
DeleteThe last one is definitely my favourite! She's got a great eye for a photo. Jx
ReplyDeleteI think the subject matter in the last photo is definitely the cutest.
DeleteShe's good!! What career path has she in mind? I love the seedhead and the first and last ones.
ReplyDeleteShe's not sure about a career path at the moment, though she's heavily in to music and drama. I think there's something special about the seedhead.
DeleteThe photos are brilliant, Jo. Well done, Eleanor! You know I love Archie's face but, if I have to choose another, it'd be the daisy. I love daisies! :o)
ReplyDeleteThere's something pure and innocent about a daisy, it's a lovely photo.
DeleteI'm very impressed, her photos are fantastic.Perhaps there is a future for Eleanor is the wonderful field. Bravo...

I'm quite surprised that they've turned out so well, she's definitely got an eye.
DeleteWho could resist that loveable smushy face? I know I couldn't ;)
ReplyDeleteEleanor has a great eye, what a fabulous start she's making :)
He's such a cutie, neither of us can resist taking photos of him.
DeleteAre you sure she has only just started taking pictures? Excellent photos and I'm very impressed with how she has got Archie to pose - now if only that would work with Daisy (sigh).
ReplyDeleteShe's done really well, I think the bug has taken hold now. She's got more patience than I have getting Archie in to the poses she wants.
DeleteShe is amazing! Love those macro shots - what a star
ReplyDeleteShe's done really well with them. I think this is the start of a new hobby for her.
DeleteI love the last photo of Archie - very cute and very professional looking. Amanda x
ReplyDeleteI think she's done really well with them, especially as she doesn't actually know the first thing about photography. She's learning though.
