2011 Starts Here

Where has 2010 gone? The years seem to pass so quickly now, is that a sign of getting old? It's years since we've been out to a pub on New Year's Eve. Some years we've been to friend's houses but more often than not we stay at home and have a quiet evening, tonight is no exception.

The champagne is chilled ready.

Daniel and Eleanor have got Chinese lanterns ready to light at midnight.

I can start to use my new diary tomorrow.

Every page has a photo of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel on it. Aren't they so cute?

I'd like to wish everyone a very happy, healthy and peaceful 2011. May all your wishes come true.

  2. Yes the years do indeed seem to go by ever more quickly!
I don't celebrate so I'll be having a normal evening, except for the loud fireworks and noisy neighbours!
    That's a great looking diary.
    Happy New Year! Flighty xx

  3. Hi Jo,

We had a very busy, but lovely Christmas, thank you.

We're also staying in tonight, we're going to watch Jools Holland later, if we can stay awake! :)

Best Wishes to you and your family for the New Year.

  4. Thanks for your lovely comment over on my last post ... it's makes me realise that I'm not alone in the way I feel about it all. Sometimes I think I'm too emotional about what happened to me and my family must be fed up listening to me ... do you ever get back to normal?
It was so nice meeting up with you in 2010 ... Here's wishing you a wonderful 2011! See you next year

  6. Happy New Year Jo. Quiet evening for us three in front of the TV. We watched the Chinese lanterns in the sky after midnight, they look so pretty against the dark sky. We have our Springer Spaniel calendar up and ready to use. Amanda x

  7. Happy New Year. Hope the lanterns went up well. So glad to see that they are biodegradeable, I was reading that livestock sometimes ate them so good to know that you can get safe ones now. They look so lovely. We saw a a load of them going off at midnight & it was magical. Hope you had a good evening. x Jacs x

  10. Happy New Year :-) Celebrating at home is the best anyway. A chance to reflect on the old and the new year as well as to celebrate.
