Archie can be very contrary at times, never more so than when offered a new bed. We've bought him all manner of things to sleep on over the years, and in most cases, wasted our money. He's had memory foam mattresses, donut style beds, beds with sides, he turns his nose up at them all. The only type of dog bed he likes is a cheap fibre-filled mattress.
He had a new one delivered on Monday and I couldn't get him off it.
I used to buy these beds from a shop near to home but it's now closed down. I've been looking for somewhere else that sells them but couldn't find them anywhere, then I looked online and saw that the Yorkshire Trading Co. have them. We made a trip to Selby but they didn't have them at that store so I ordered online on Saturday at 3.30pm and they were delivered on Monday morning. I couldn't believe how quick it was. I ordered two as he has beds in a couple of rooms.
They're not the best quality but then they only cost £5.99 each. They have zipped covers so they can be taken off to wash. Archie's happy with them as you can see, and at that price I don't mind if they don't last as long as a more expensive bed might.
Archie often sleeps on one of the sofas during the day, especially if we're sitting on them, but he didn't on Monday. The minute I unwrapped the beds his tail was wagging and he immediately settled down to sleep.
They're definitely a hit with Archie, and I can definitely recommend the service I received when placing this order. This isn't a sponsored post, I bought and paid for the beds myself, I just like to give credit where credit's due. Plus, who doesn't like a post dedicated to Archie.
Ahh bless him! The perfect present for a sleepy Archie.
ReplyDeleteAww bless, look at his little face! He looks so comfy. We also buy those cheap mattresses for Betty - we get them in Iceland Food Warehouse, they only cost £5. We started buying them originally because Betty chewed pretty much any bed, and at £5 a time it was cheaper to replace those. Fortunately, she's grown out of the chewing phase, but we still buy them as she seems to like to snuggle up in them.
ReplyDeleteI love a blog post dedicated to Archie! I'm glad you've found a bed that's a hit with Archie. I have to say Tilly would have that de-stuffed in days. We have wasted money on beds for her and I've even thought of buying one of those hard plastic ones and filling it with blankets but she'd toss them all out in no time and no doubt chew on the bed.
ReplyDeleteWell done to you and Archie for finding the perfect bed for him, they're funny creatures aren't they but we love them :-)
He looks so cute snuggled down to sleep. My cat Grace is terrible with new beds, she likes them to be deep so she can snuggle into them, but each time we get a new bed, I have to sit with her beside the bed, until she relaxes and accepts it, it can take a couple of days.
ReplyDeleteI most certainly love a post dedicated to Archie and doesn't he look doubly adorable sleeping on his new bed? 🐶 💕
ReplyDeleteOh Archie - you look so comfy! Bluebell loves her similar to that one flat mattress that's in her crate. She had the choice of two other style beds downstirs and is currently enjoying a folded in half single quilt on my bedroom floor when she decides my bed/face/pillows are not comfy enough. I was going to throw the quilt away but put the fleecey cover on it and she's claimed it. Easy to wash too.
ReplyDeleteWhat's not to like with a post dedicated to that adorable pooch.
ReplyDeleteHe looks so contented. I wonder if they have a certain smell about them that draws him to them. Our cat used to go mad if we brought a packet of pea seeds into the house - he would drool over them and rub up against the packet and purr like mad!
ReplyDeleteAw I'm so glad he loves his new bed he looks so cosy and content. I think I would be buying a few just in case they stop making them. xx
ReplyDeleteLovely post and pictures which had me smiling. xx
ReplyDeleteWho doesn't love a post dedicated to Archie, he's adorable. I'm glad he likes his new be, the photos are great, especially the first close-up :)
ReplyDeleteHow great is that? MY cats are the same about their new tree. Cute bed! Cuter dog
ReplyDeleteHe is delightful, such a gorgeous face.
ReplyDeleteMy Daughter has a dog who rips every bed they buy to pieces. lol

I love that his tail was wagging as you opened the parcel, that he knew it was for him. Archie looks so comfy on his new bed, glad to hear it was a hit.
ReplyDeleteOh Archie, you are just so sweet & I'm so lucky to have met you in person & had a cuddle. Funny how some of the cheaper items in life are the best, even if they don't last too long, though whether it's pricey or not we all have preferences for something comfortable. Take care & hugs with one for Archie too.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely, he looks absolutely adorable and very comfy. Bertie has a poor track record when it comes to beds, most of them end up with their stuffing coming out. I shall definitely consider a mattress style one though, as the only bed he hasn't destroyed is an all-in-one one.
ReplyDeleteSure looks like Archie loves his new bed. And you have to love the price!
ReplyDeleteArchie looks very content. X
ReplyDeleteArchie looks very comfortable, bless him. I would love to doze off and sleep as well as Archie! He's well look after and loved.
ReplyDeleteArchie looks lovely and cosy. Ruby has the fluffy doughnuts which doubles as toys as she drags them around the house, folds them in half and inside out. She also stores her booty there, mainly socks, it's like a magpie's nest. She takes treat in to eat but as for sleeping she prefers to snuggle up close to us,
ReplyDeleteAwww, always lovely to see the adorable Archie. He sure looks snuggly there.
ReplyDeleteArchie looks so happy!
