Merry Christmas 2019

Daniel and Jasmine spent last Christmas with her family in Colorado so it was a quiet Christmas for us. They're with us again this year, which I'm really pleased about, but it's the first Christmas without my lovely mum so it's going to be bitter sweet.

It really does help having family around when you're feeling sad. I know I'm not the only one who has lost a loved one this year so I'm sending my thoughts out to those in the same position as me, as well as all my lovely friends who have been so kind and thoughtful this year, leaving such kind comments and helping me through this difficult time.

Wishing you all a happy and peaceful Christmas.

  3. Happy Christmas to you too, Jo, Christmas is a hard time - lots of the worst things that have happened to us have been around Christmas time and it heightens the sense of loss but I hope it isn't too hard foe you.

  6. It's never an easy time for people at Christmas if you've lost someone very special. My nephew passed away in January this year from Leukaemia at just 39 leaving behind a partner and three children as well as my sister and a brother.

Hope you have a lovely Christmas Jo, I'm sure you're mum wouldn't have wanted you to be sad.

Yes.A sad time for many people.Last Monday we went to our granddaughter's Carol Service.Sat next to us was a Dad whose wife died a month ago.We felt so privileged to be watching Ruby play her clarinet.Hayley did not even get to see her daughter sing in the choir.Hayley was one of our daughter's best friends. It is going to be a very difficult Xmas for them.

  13. Merry Christmas To you Jo & your family. We've awoken to another smoky morning, so glad we aren't either travelling or our family getting caught in fires although some are burning close to our 2 boys. Quiet for us this year. Take care & huggles.

  14. Dear Jo, thinking of you. This time of year is difficult when loved ones are not with us. My Mum passed away on a Christmas Eve some years ago and this time of year is still not easy as Mum is missed by us in the family. Sending my love to you. I hope you and your family have a happy, peaceful Christmas.
