how lovely. We saw some ducks in Maidstone on the river yesterday. After all the flooding its back to normal now.
It's good to hear that the rivers are getting back to normal, but I feel so sorry for everyone who suffered damage to their properties, it will take them such a long time to get everything sorted out.
My sister loved this rhyme when she was younger, it brings back such memories of my childhood :D
I remember it from my own childhood. Happy memories.
Another sure sign of spring if ever there was one! xx
There's babies everywhere you look at the moment, little chicks in nests, ducklings on lakes and lambs in fields. They're all so cute.
Phew! I'm glad about that. What cute little bundles of fluff they are.Lisa x
I wouldn't leave until I saw that they were all swimming together again, I'm such a softie.
Mabel & Earls babies have fledged whilst we have been away. Last year they did produce another clutch so will have to wait and see. I love seeing all the babies about.
What a shame you missed them fledging. We had a family of blackbirds in our hedge a few years ago but they've never been back. There's quite a few cats around here so perhaps they're playing it safe.
What a delightful sight. Flighty xx
You can't help but smile when you see lots of little babies on the water.
Look at all of them! That's a big flock. This was really sweet, thank you for sharing.
It doesn't bare thinking about having twelve babies to look after all at once, does it? They must be very good mums to keep them all under control.
aaaawh .......so cute!
They are, aren't they? Total fluffiness.
Phew! I'm glad number 12 caught up! I was getting worried! :o)
I wouldn't leave until I saw they were all together again, and then I had to make a hasty exit before one strayed again.
Aren't they gorgeous! Not sure I've seen that many ducklings and only one Mum. Take care.
It's certainly a big family. I wouldn't fancy trying to keep that lot under control.
So cute, glad no one got left behind!
I wouldn't have been able to sleep that night if I hadn't seen they were all safely back with mum.
Very cute and fuzzy :) I can remember singing that when mine were babies in the bath...happy memories!
I think everyone must know this little rhyme, a favourite to sing to babies.
They are so lovely. I used to love it at the farm when some of our chickens and geese went broody and you would see a little line all following Mum and do you know our cat at the time never ever touched one, probably too frightened to lol
I'm sure cats would come off worse if they were up against geese. It's so cute to see little goslings, chicks or ducklings following their mums.
So sweet. I've not seen any sort of chicks on our local ponds yet, I must have a closer look. Guaranteed to bring a smile to everyones face! X
I bet you'll find lots if you look. I've seen loads just lately, none with such a big family as this brood through.
Isn't there always one that goes off and does their own thing? In ducks, puppies and people! Thanks for the giggle x
That's so true, there's always one which a mum worries about just a little bit more than the others.
That song is one of little O's favourites. We have to sing it when she has a bath at ours when she sleeps over. We line all her rubber ducks on the side of the bath and I have to keep taking one away!
Ahhh, bless her. It definitely a favourite rhyme.
