Happy 18th Birthday

It's Eleanor's 18th birthday today. It's hard to believe that my children are all grown up, where did those years go?

This year, she's hoping to head off to university to study biomedical science, we're keeping our fingers crossed that she gets the grades she requires.

We're heading out shortly to a cafe for breakfast and tonight we're having a party where Eleanor's friends, family and family friends can help us celebrate, after which, she's heading off with her friends in to Leeds to a nightclub. Mick and I are also taking her out for a meal over the weekend so that we can have a more intimate celebration ourselves.

We're so proud of Eleanor, she's grown to be a happy, caring and thoughtful young lady and we wish her a lifetime of happiness.

Happy birthday Eleanor. xxx

  3. Wow, so many "significant events" are happening in your family! Happy Birthday, Eleanor. I'm sure that as your children have grown up to be such clever, decent people, parental influence must have played a big part. Behaviours learned from family in their early years will direct the rest of their lives.

    1. Thank you. We've certainly got a busy year, it was my mum and dad's diamond wedding anniversary and Daniel's 21st birthday in February, Daniel's graduation a couple of days ago, Eleanor's 18th birthday today, and in August it's Mick's 50th birthday and Eleanor's A Level results day. I'll be worn out by the time it's my birthday in September!

    1. Thank you. Eleanor's at a bit of a loose end to tell you the truth, I think it's hard for them to wind down after a period of such concentrated study. She's pleased that she's not having to get her books out every day though.
