It's the Easter weekend, bank holidays today and Monday, giving us a long weekend. As usual for a bank holiday, the weather isn't up to much. We had gorgeous weather on Tuesday and Wednesday, if only it had held.
We don't bother with Easter eggs ourselves but someone in the household wouldn't be happy if he didn't receive one.
This is a special doggy Easter egg. Don't forget, you shouldn't feed ordinary chocolate to your dog as it contains a chemical called theobromine which is poisonous to dogs and other animals.
We don't have anything planned for the weekend. Although restrictions have now eased and we no longer have to Stay at Home, I don't much fancy going anywhere that's busy. We'll just play it by ear, watch what the weather's like and see what we fancy doing.
Have you got anything planned for the weekend?
I didn't know you could get doggy Easter eggs that's brilliant!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely Eater weekend Jo. xx
Staying at home here, family lunch on Sunday with our bubble, so Easter egg hunt in garden, no desire to be in any crowds.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like being typical not too good Easter weather.
ReplyDeleteI hope Archie enjoys his Easter egg.
It'll be a normal weekend for me. xx
Aww you buy Archie a doggy Easter egg, I'm sure he will enjoy that but don't tell my Tilly or she'll want one :) I live on the coast so on Bank Holidays we stay off the roads and crowded places and that'll be especially wise this year.
ReplyDeleteLucky Archie, watching him eat it will be fun, maybe you'll be able to get him to do a few tricks! Have a Happy Easter. We'll be at home. It's quite sunny and warm here this afternoon but we're supposed to be having snow on Monday.
ReplyDeleteStaying put here too for the long weekend. The weather has actually been the hottest start to April in about 80years here in southern Australia, though it is supposed to cool tomorrow a little. We can hear the non-stop traffic on the Freeway into Melbourne & sounds everyone may have gone a little crazy & I can see another wave coming after this. Take care, stay safe & hugs.
ReplyDeleteWe have always avoided going anywhere on Bank Holiday's mainly because it's usually a nightmare to get anywhere, so this weekend will be no different for us. I hope Archie enjoys his Easter Treat :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's been glorious here today, a bit cooler than the last three days but sunshine and almost cloudless blue sky. I set out for a dog walk with my jacket on but ended up taking it off after about 15 minutes. I've no plans for the rest of the weekend other than (hopefully) another trip to Manchester on Sunday to find some more street art - I'm purposely staying away from the more popular places as I know they are likely to be crowded. I love the Easter egg you got for Archie, I hope he likes it :)
ReplyDeleteI think Archie is going to enjoy that :)
ReplyDeleteIt will be a quiet weekend for us, we will probably enjoy a walk, although some areas of the UK are promised snow for Monday!
Have a happy weekend and a happy Easter.
All the best Jan
Stay home, stay safe, stay alive - is still a valid slogan.
ReplyDeleteEase of restrictions doesn't say much. The virus is still here and kicking.
Unusual for us we're actually having a roast lamb dinner on Sunday. It's been years since I cooked lamb, so I'm looking forward to it. We've been decorating. Yesterday 9 hours wall papering, flet shattered at the end but all done. I'll post on my blog next week so you can take a look. Gardening today as weather has perked up. Monday is the Mr's birthday so popping out for a walk with some friends we haven't seen in ages. Happy Easter to you. Jean x
ReplyDeleteThe doggy Easter treat is adorable. I LOVE IT.
ReplyDeleteWe are alone in the house, at least, for Easter. Another important family day and we are all apart. We get our final shots Monday. That is making me thank God more than usual. So thankful for this vaccine and the hope it can bring if people comply
My mom would always give me one of those large chocolate eggs from Italy - the chocolate was that creamy, fake sort of chocolate, but I loved it! I would break it apart and pop it into the freezer and then take pieces every now and again - usually it lasted until May! Wishing you and hubby a happy Easter :)
ReplyDeleteA doggy Easter egg! Perfect!

I bet Archie enjoyed that. The weather was nice enough for some garden pottering but as Husband was working we didn't get up to much.
