Merry Christmas 2020

It's going to be another strange Christmas. Last year was the first Christmas without my mum and this Christmas is the first without my dad. It's been a strange year all round actually with many of us being separated from our families because of coronavirus. I had taken comfort in the fact that we were going to spend a few days with Daniel and Jasmine who we haven't seen since last Christmas but as they live in Essex and therefore have entered Tier 4 restrictions, we're now unable to see them. It's going to be very quiet around here.

Wishing you all a happy and peaceful Christmas.

  1. We had all sorts of fun things planned for the 5 days we were originally told we'd be allowed to be together over Christmas but it's now only Christmas Day. I really am grateful that we are allowed that much. I hope you can get together with Daniel and Jasmine soon, Jo. Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Hopefully, 2021 will let us get back to seeing our families.

  19. It has been a weird one this year. We lost my Grandad back in September, so it's the first one without him. Still, I hope you still had a lovely Christmas even though you couldn't be with those you love. Take care.

  20. Oh this year has been downright weird for sure. Sorry your plans were ruined, a year is a long time to not see your children. I hope you had a good one anyway.xxx

  21. So many had their plans changed at almost the last minute!
Three of our children (and respective grandchildren) were put in Tier 4!

However I hope you were able to get some enjoyment from Christmas...

Here's to better things to come during 2021.

    All the best Jan

  22. Oh my goodness that's a list! As the year Ends, I want to thank all my blog pals for their honest and open posts. We put our selves out 'there' when we blog and it makes us vulnerable. Thank you for the beautiful life you show us across the pond.
