Maybe This Christmas

Maybe This Christmas by Sarah Morgan is the third book in the Snow Crystal trilogy. I read the first two books, Sleigh Bells In The Snow and Suddenly Last Summer, back in 2016. The first book was a free download on my Kindle, I doubt I'd have read the book otherwise, but after reading it I knew I wanted to read the other two and I've really enjoyed each of the three books.

The stories are set at the Snow Crystal ski resort in Vermont, which is owned and run by the O'Neill family. Each book tells the story of one of the three O'Neill brothers, Jackson in Sleigh Bells In The Snow, Sean in Suddenly Last Summer and this time it was the turn of Tyler.

Okay, it's a bit of a trashy love story, but it's a quick, easy read and I enjoyed it and anyway, who can resist a bit of Christmas romance? Not me!

    1. It can be more relaxing than reading something which you really have to think about.

  2. I like a good series where characters turn up in other stories. Chuck in romance and Christmas and you're on to a winner!

    1. I seem to follow a few series, I'm a fan on following a story through a number of books.

  4. I like a "candyfloss" book to rest my mind and soothe the spirit, I have not seen these so will keep my eyes open. I am slowly watching the Cedar Cove adaptations on the box, I never read the books so have nothing to compare to and no complaints.

    1. I enjoy a lighthearted read, especially as I read in bed so I don't want anything too taxing. I hadn't heard of the Cedar Cove series so I've just looked it up and found it's based on Debbie Macomber books. I've never read anything from her but I've heard a few people mention this author so I shall look out for her books.

    1. I had quite a few Christmas books lined up to read over the festive period but I just didn't get enough time to get through them all so I'll be reading them over the course of the year. Have a look at Winwick Mum's sock tutorial (search on Google), she has lots of help for beginners knitting in the round. Thank you for your lovely offer, I've got lots of yarn which needs using up though so I think I'll make him something myself.

    1. Reading should definitely be all about the enjoyment you get out of it.

  10. I enjoy those "chance finds" when you read a book that you would not normally have bothered with and end up thoroughly enjoying it and wanting to read more from the series/author. No one ever said that every book you read had to be intellectually stimulating! We all need a bit (or a lot!) of easy reading once in a while :)

    1. I've had a couple of freebies on my Kindle which I've read purely because they were free yet really enjoyed them. I know where that saying comes from now, never judge a book by its cover.

  13. I loved that series too. I've just discovered Lucy Diamond and though the language is appalling, I'm loving her books. Atm I've only listened on a cd from the library whilst knitting etc. I'd definitely recommend them, they start slow but hold your interest. My mother-in-law and I pass books to each other, some of Katie Fford's were a bit explicit but I felt comfortable passing them onto her but... Not sure I would these, sometimes the swearing is too much! I'll mention them to her next time as she helps in a charity book shop, then it's up to her. Happy reading whatever you read, Cathy x

    1. I haven't heard of Lucy Diamond so I shall look her up. Bad language doesn't put me off a book, I can skirt past it but, like you, I wouldn't always pass on books which contain it. I haven't read anything by Katie Fford either but I seem to remember my mum reading her books.
