Today is my sixth blog anniversary. Little did I know when I started blogging, over seven years ago actually when I started my first blog, the pleasure it would bring. My blog is a great way to record things which happen but on top of that, the interaction with other bloggers is fantastic, I've made many friends along the way.
I always have a little giveaway on my blog anniversaries and this year is no different.
I know that many of my readers enjoy my knitting and crochet posts so I thought I'd include some yarn in this year's giveaway. Yarndale is coming up again soon and as I haven't yet used any of the lovely yarn I bought from there last year, I thought I'd give you the chance to win one of my purchases. This is Manos Silk Blend Fino from Manos Del Uruguay. This 50g skein is a luxury soft blend of 70% Extra Fine Merino and 30% Silk, it's silky soft to the touch. It comes in Juniper colourway, a beautiful rich teal.
I'm sure that many of you enjoy a cuppa whilst knitting or hooking, often first thing in the morning whilst contemplating the day ahead, so also in the parcel will be a tin of Whittard's of Chelsea English Breakfast Tea. The Union Jack tin contains 50 tea bags to keep you going.
You can't have yarn and tea without a bit of chocolate. Green & Black's is my favourite and this Treat Collection contains a selection of six miniature bars.
The giveaway is open to followers of this blog, old and new, who leave a comment on this post by midday on Wednesday the 7th of September 2016, after which, a winner will be drawn at random.
Thank you to everyone who pops by and reads my ramblings, especially those who leave comments, you're all very much appreciated and you make this blogging lark so much fun.
Many good wishes for your sixth blog anniversary. I always enjoy my visits to your blog... and I do agree you can meet (virtually speaking) some great people.
ReplyDeleteYour give away looks lovely and will be appreciated by the winner, but please do not include my name - I just enjoy visiting to see what your post and so often photo's will be about.
Good wishes to you and your family for a fantastic September, special thoughts to Eleanor as she starts at Uni.
All the best Jan
Happy blog anniversary, :-)

Are you going to Yarndale this year?
Congratulations six years - I have a long way to go, would love to enter your very generous giveaway, I love tea and chocolate but do not knit so if I were lucky enough to win I would pass the wool on to the elderly lady next door x
ReplyDeleteJo you are right, a blog is the perfect medium to record loads of things, and to interact with other bloggers. The joy to see you have comments always makes me smile. Please add me to your generous give away. Congratulations on six years.

Well, congratulations on 6 years, Jo! Time flies, doesn't it? Like you, I so enjoy both the journal that blogging provides and the friendships that develop.
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful gifts - I LOVE the yarn. In fact, would you believe that I purchased a hank of that EXACT same yarn in the colourway "Patina" (which also happens to be blue) at a Knitters Fair last year...so it seems that we have yarny tastes in common too!
fab blog and great giveaway happy blogday xx
ReplyDelete6 years Jo - I need to go back and read some of your early posts!! Happy Blogerversary. x
ReplyDeleteCongrats! Thanks for the lovely prize offerings!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting and generous! Yarn, chocolate and tea -whats not to love. Congrats on six years xx
ReplyDeleteWell done on achieving six years especially when for much of the time you kept two blogs. I'm not a knitter so please don't put my name in thr hat.
ReplyDeleteWell done on your six years, I know sometimes it's not so easy to keep up the posts, but it's always a good way to see what you were doing and when.
ReplyDeleteMy urge to blog has died the death but reading others blogs has got me knitting and cooking more.
ReplyDeleteGo figure.
If by any chance I do win and you aren't mailing outside the UK, pull another name
Congrats on six years and hope you enjoy doing it for many more. Take care.
ReplyDeleteHappy blogiversary! I hope you keep writing for the next six years. x
ReplyDeleteHappy blogoversary Jo. I am amazed actually, usually my long absences mean I miss out on all your wonderful give-a-ways and yet this year it seems like I got my butt into gear again just in time...and what a wonderful selection too. With the season slowly changing I will have more time for knitting and crochet and as a true Brit I love my tea....but it's not just the tea...what a wonderful tin it is in. As for green and blacks chocolate...the best thing about that is the hubby and son don't like it...not sweet enough!! Of course I don't expect to actually win but it's nice to be in with a chance for a change!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogaversary, Jo. You are so generous with your giveaways. Makes me wish I lived close enough to participate. That yarn is a beautiful blue. P. x
ReplyDeleteAlways enjoy catching up on your news - 6 years has gone so fast - congratulations! Two of my favourite things in the giveaway - divine wool and English tea. Happy weekending too.
ReplyDeleteWell done on six years - that's some commitment!
ReplyDeleteA very generous giveaway Jo. That tin would look great with the red white and blue scheme for the attic room, the yarn would be handy and chocolate is always welcome, particularly when it's in lovely little treat sized packs.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on 6 years! I especially love that Union Jack tin with teabags.
ReplyDeleteLike 50 and counting "If by any chance I do win and you aren't mailing outside the UK, pull another name"
