Yummy Mummy

I've never yet been called a yummy mummy but at least I've got the badge. It was pinned to the wonderful Mother's Day card which Eleanor bought me.

I've been thoroughly spoilt with beautiful flowers.

There's no chance of starting my healthy eating regime just yet, I've got a mountain of chocolate to get through. Everyone knows that Ferrero Rocher are my favourite.

I love that Eleanor still calls me mummy. She even had the little chocolate plaque she bought me from Thornton's engraved with it.

Wishing all you mums a Happy Mother's Day, I hope you're being spoilt too and that you're having a lovely day with those you love.

  1. That is a mountain of chocolate...yum, yum! My kids are 9 & 10 & they still call us Mommy & Daddy...I will miss that when it stops (or maybe I'll be as lucky as you and it won't!). Have a wonderful Mothers Day, Jo!

    1. Ha ha, the badge tells me I'm one so I must be. It's a shame that Daniel couldn't get home from uni but he rung me and the rest of us have had a nice day together.

  12. What lovely gifts from your children and you still hear people of all ages call their parents Mummy & Daddy. Mine don't, but I'm fine with that. Have a good week and take care.

    1. The flowers are a beautiful colour, such a deep shade of pink. I've made a start on the chocolate but I must make it last, there's so much of it. Daniel finishes uni for Easter on Friday, he'll be glad of the break because he's been so busy just lately working on his Year 3 project, I'm hoping I'll get to see him over the holiday period.

  20. Had a very peaceful day which meant I could do a lot of stitching to the Earth Goddess. D cooked lunch and I was given strict instructions not to go in the kitchen. Not because he didn't want any interference from me but because it looked like world war III had broken out with every conceivable pot and pan in use. Still it's the thought that counts but I am grateful it only happens once a year. None f the big ones came home but got phone calls texts and cards so I was a happy mummy and daughter is coming over on her day off on saturday to take me out to lunch.

    1. Mick's a good cook but I think all men create more mess than women do when they're in the kitchen. Like you say though, it's the thought that counts. Glad you had a good day, it's a shame you didn't get to see all your children but I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time on Saturday when you see your daughter.

    1. Awww, what lovely gifts you received. I still have homemade cards which Daniel and Eleanor made me when they were younger, I don't think you can beat them, can you. I'm sure I'll manage the Ferrero Rochers all by myself but thanks for the thought.
