I've never yet been called a yummy mummy but at least I've got the badge. It was pinned to the wonderful Mother's Day card which Eleanor bought me.
I've been thoroughly spoilt with beautiful flowers.
There's no chance of starting my healthy eating regime just yet, I've got a mountain of chocolate to get through. Everyone knows that Ferrero Rocher are my favourite.
I love that Eleanor still calls me mummy. She even had the little chocolate plaque she bought me from Thornton's engraved with it.
Wishing all you mums a Happy Mother's Day, I hope you're being spoilt too and that you're having a lovely day with those you love.
That is a mountain of chocolate...yum, yum! My kids are 9 & 10 & they still call us Mommy & Daddy...I will miss that when it stops (or maybe I'll be as lucky as you and it won't!). Have a wonderful Mothers Day, Jo!
ReplyDeleteI know, I'm definitely going to have to ration myself with it. I love that Eleanor still calls us Mummy and Daddy, there's something special about those names.
DeleteI am sure that you are a lovely yummy mummy!! Hope you enjoyed your day of being especially loved! xx
ReplyDeleteHa ha, the badge tells me I'm one so I must be. It's a shame that Daniel couldn't get home from uni but he rung me and the rest of us have had a nice day together.
DeleteThat's one big pile of Ferrero Rochers! I might just have to come and visit you and help you eat them. x
ReplyDeleteI know, they're my favourites so I shall have to limit myself otherwise they won't last long.
DeleteHappy Mother's Day, you deserve to be spoiled.
ReplyDeleteMeredith
Happy Mother's Day to you too. I feel thoroughly spoilt.
DeleteI'm quite sure that you're a yummy mummy too, and when you're full of chocolate you'll definitely feel like one! Glad you've had a lovely day! xx
ReplyDeleteHa ha, that's very true. We all had a lovely day.
DeleteAwww how lovely, my favourite choccies too...enjoy :-)
ReplyDeleteI definitely will enjoy them, they're my favourites.
Deleteawww how sweet :) if you feel sick from the chocolate send some my way ;) xx
ReplyDeleteHaha, I'm sure they'd make me very sick if I ate them in one go. I intend to ration myself.
DeleteThat is quite a chocolate mountain!
ReplyDeleteYou're not kidding. It will last a long time.
DeleteI love Ferrero Rocher too. The flowers are beautiful. Lucky lady.
ReplyDeleteThe photo really doesn't do the flowers justice, they're absolutely beautiful and arranged in a bag with Mum on it.
DeleteHow lovely for you. "Mummy" is one of the best words ever , even better with "yummy" before it xxx
ReplyDeleteHa ha, I'll settle for Mummy.
DeleteGreat badge, my girls call me Mama and I love that, they have never grown out of it the eldest is now 32. Sounds like you had a great day, the flowers were beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAwww, that's nice, I like Mama too. The flowers really are beautiful.
DeleteWhat lovely gifts from your children and you still hear people of all ages call their parents Mummy & Daddy. Mine don't, but I'm fine with that. Have a good week and take care.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Eleanor will ever grow out of calling us Mummy and Daddy.
DeleteHow lovely, I have lots of Chocolate to eat as well, better do some walking I think xxx
ReplyDeleteWe definitely had. I'll have to walk lots of miles to burn off all these calories.
DeleteYou did well for good presents. Flighty xx
ReplyDeleteI certainly did. I was very spoilt.
DeleteJo, such beautiful flowers - I love the colour of them... and as others have commented that is a lot of your favourite chocolate ... enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteMothers Days are very special, glad yours was a good one.
All good wishes for this new week - it's not long 'til Easter now is it?
All the best Jan
The flowers are a beautiful colour, such a deep shade of pink. I've made a start on the chocolate but I must make it last, there's so much of it. Daniel finishes uni for Easter on Friday, he'll be glad of the break because he's been so busy just lately working on his Year 3 project, I'm hoping I'll get to see him over the holiday period.
DeleteIt sounds like you had a very well deserved mothers day. I had the same chocs (only the one box though) Less to burn off xx
ReplyDeleteI do love Fererro Rocher, they're so moreish though, I shall have to hide them and ration myself.
DeleteOh my! Chocolates! Happy, happy Mother's Day!
ReplyDeleteLots of chocolates, aren't I lucky.
DeleteAhhh, how lovely to still be Mummy, and Yummy Mummy!!! Enjoy the chocs, you've earned them!!!xxx
ReplyDeleteI love being Mummy still. I shall definitely enjoy the chocolates, though I'm intending on making them last.
DeleteWow, look at all those FR chocs, what a lot you have, that'll see you through to Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI love the cute little badge too.
Hope you enjoyed your day.
Lisa x
I know, I've only just finished the Christmas chocolates so these have come just at the right time. I love the badge too. I had a lovely day, it was just a shame that Daniel couldn't be at home with us.
DeleteHad a very peaceful day which meant I could do a lot of stitching to the Earth Goddess. D cooked lunch and I was given strict instructions not to go in the kitchen. Not because he didn't want any interference from me but because it looked like world war III had broken out with every conceivable pot and pan in use. Still it's the thought that counts but I am grateful it only happens once a year. None f the big ones came home but got phone calls texts and cards so I was a happy mummy and daughter is coming over on her day off on saturday to take me out to lunch.
ReplyDeleteMick's a good cook but I think all men create more mess than women do when they're in the kitchen. Like you say though, it's the thought that counts. Glad you had a good day, it's a shame you didn't get to see all your children but I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time on Saturday when you see your daughter.
DeleteAww that's lovely, I'm glad you were spoilt.
ReplyDeleteFerrero Rocher are my husband's favourite - he got lots for Christmas and he scoffed the lot, I didn't a sinlge one!
I'm lucky, Mick isn't keen on Ferrero Rocher so he's quite happy to let me eat the lot. Eleanor not so though, she likes to share.
DeleteWhat a lovely post, Jo! Just became a follower....looking forward to seeing your stitching adventures.
ReplyDeletexxx
There'll be more about my stitching adventures soon. I think I might have bitten off more than I can chew for my second project but I'll give it a go.
DeleteGlad to read that you were quite rightly spoilt Jo. Hope that you haven't finished off all of those choccies yet!
ReplyDeleteI haven't finished them yet, I'm sure they'll last a very long time, there's so many of them.
DeleteAh that's lovely Jo. Long may you be called Mummy! I got a homemade card and two bags of peppermint creams and rose creams that the girls made all by themselves. Do give me shout if you need any help with those F.R's, I like them too :-)
ReplyDeleteAwww, what lovely gifts you received. I still have homemade cards which Daniel and Eleanor made me when they were younger, I don't think you can beat them, can you. I'm sure I'll manage the Ferrero Rochers all by myself but thanks for the thought.
