Photo Medley - May

It's time for this month's round up of photos which haven't yet been seen on the blog.

I thought I'd start this collection with Archie chilling out. He certainly knows how to make himself comfy.

Sammy having a nibble at the living rabbit food I've grown for him, it didn't last long once he'd got going on it. I'm pleased to say that he hasn't had any more problems with his leg.

I was thrilled earlier this month when I saw a male bullfinch in the garden. It's the first time I've seen one visit, I'm always glad to see new birds at the feeders. It returned the following day but I haven't seen it since.

I managed to find a lampshade I liked for my bedroom. It doesn't shade the light too much which is what I wanted, and it makes pretty patterns on the ceiling and walls.

Eleanor mid recording.

Another photo of the goose family by the river in York.

I hope you've enjoyed this month's offerings.

    1. Archie certainly knows how to relax. He was fast asleep when I grabbed my camera but woke up as it beeped when I turned it on.

  3. I certainly enjoyed the pics...
The bullfinch is beautiful and it must be a content doggie thing to lie on one's back with feet in the air as my Maddie does it all the time too.
    Have a great weekend.

  4. You got some great pet/animal shots, Jo. Usually they're hard to photograph. Archie looks like he needs someone standing over him with a big palm frond, fanning him as he lounges. :)

    1. Archie does like to make himself comfy. My mum and dad used to get bullfinches in their garden but they lived close to farmland and woodland, it's a bird I never thought I'd see in my own garden with lots of houses around. I just hope he comes back now that he's found a regular source of food.

  8. Love the photo of Archie chilling out! Your new light is lovely and such pretty patterns when on. Now just a picture for the wall and all will be finished. We've no bird feeder, but were watching the birds in our garden yesterday morning and saw Eastern Rosellas checking out the bird box, so am wondering if they use it. Time will tell, but your bullfinch is gorgeous. Take care.

    1. I wish I could chill out like Archie does, he always looks so comfy. I'm really pleased with the light shade, it looks lovely with the shadows cast around the room. I haven't started looking for a picture yet but I'm in no hurry. It would be lovely if the Eastern Rosellas nested in your bird box, it's so relaxing watching the comings and goings of birds. I'm hoping that my bullfinch visits again soon.

  10. I love the goose family! You can clearly tell the dad - in front, head up and in charge - and the mum - head down, treading carefully, waiting for the kids to catch up. You've even got the littlest one sitting down saying "I'm tired!" . What a great photo.

Where is the year going to??? Where is the time???

Aside from that rant against tempus fugit, the pictures are lovely. Can I adopt Archie?

    1. I can't believe we're nearly in to June already, your right, time does fly. I'm afraid Archie says no, he's very happy, and spoilt, where he is, unless you've got a big supply of treats and then he'd definitely consider it.

Nice to see Sammy looking so well and Eleanor singing again :)
