College Girl

It was Eleanor's first day in the Sixth Form on Thursday. She was up bright and early to get ready, she doesn't have to wear a uniform any longer, which she's very pleased about.

The A level subjects she's taking are English Language, Biology, Sociology and Psychology and she's enjoying them all so far. Homework has been heaped up on her already so she's been working very hard.

A whole new chapter of her life has just begun but I'm sure she'll rise to the challenge it brings.

If you haven't already entered my giveaway, don't forget to do so. You have until twelve noon on Thursday the 11th of September 2014 to leave a comment on my Fourth Blog Anniversary Giveaway post.

  2. She looks lovely! DP still has a uniform, so it's nice to see someone who can wear whatever (and I love the blue hair!)

    1. Eleanor was really pleased to get rid of the uniform at last, she's had one ever since starting school. We wasn't sure if she was actually allowed to have blue hair at school but there's some there with the whole of their hair dyed other colours so she should be ok, I hope.

  3. Looking very grownup and ready for the next chapter of her education. Lucky girl not having to wear a uniform, as I hated mine. Hope she doesn't get too much homework all the time. Good luck Eleanor and take care.

    1. She is looking grown up all of a sudden. My uniform at middle school was purple and gold, how I hated that. I'm sure the homework situation will calm down a little once they get in to the swing of things, I hope so anyway.

  4. Eden's loving not wearing a uniform. She's already freaked out at the amount of maths homework she's got! I think the teachers frighten the life out of them to start with but hopefully it'll settle down

    1. I think you're right, I think the teachers start off giving them lots of homework so that they're under no illusion how hard they have to work, but I'm sure it will settle down after a while.

  5. Eleanor is such a pretty girl, the blue hair looks fab! Willow did the same to hers during the holidays, its washed out now though.it always seem really stressful when starting a new school year, I dont think we got anywhere near the amount of homework they get these days, Eleanor is a hard worker so I'm sure she will cope. xx

    1. Eleanor had to have her hair coloured blonde so that the blue would take, so if the blue washes out, she's left with the blonde underneath it, which is permanent. I don't think we got the same amount of homework as they do nowadays either. I'm very glad we didn't.

  6. I hope that Eleanor enjoys herself in the 6th form and that the homework doesn't become too much. xx

    1. It's started off well for her so I just hope she continues to enjoy it. She's got on with the homework she's been given so far, I think the best way to deal with it is to get it done when it's set and then it's out of the way, but young people don't see things the same way as we do. So far so good though.

    1. It really does. If you look back at the photos I posted of Eleanor four years ago when I first started this blog, she's changed so much and really grown up.

  8. Eleanor looks nice. We have been back at school now 2 weeks, Mikayla is in her final year and the homework is a lot, she even had some over the summer! Nick hates homework and it always puts him in the "loveliest" mood. ;)

    1. Eleanor has usually been set homework for over the summer but it was different this year with her finishing her exams, she's had a lovely long break this time away from any studies.

    1. Thank you. I'm sure the amount of homework she gets will settle, though I know they're expected to do a fair amount at home. She's prepared for some hard work over the next couple of years though, so she's ready for it.
