It's good to hear that the rivers are getting back to normal, but I feel so sorry for everyone who suffered damage to their properties, it will take them such a long time to get everything sorted out.
Mabel & Earls babies have fledged whilst we have been away. Last year they did produce another clutch so will have to wait and see. I love seeing all the babies about.
What a shame you missed them fledging. We had a family of blackbirds in our hedge a few years ago but they've never been back. There's quite a few cats around here so perhaps they're playing it safe.
They are so lovely. I used to love it at the farm when some of our chickens and geese went broody and you would see a little line all following Mum and do you know our cat at the time never ever touched one, probably too frightened to lol
That song is one of little O's favourites. We have to sing it when she has a bath at ours when she sleeps over. We line all her rubber ducks on the side of the bath and I have to keep taking one away!

how lovely. We saw some ducks in Maidstone on the river yesterday. After all the flooding its back to normal now.

ReplyDeleteI'm sure cats would come off worse if they were up against geese. It's so cute to see little goslings, chicks or ducklings following their mums.
