Lucky Bag

Do you remember Lucky Bag's from when you were a child? They usually contained a cheap plastic toy, some sweets and perhaps a sticker or a small picture. I loved the surprise, not knowing what you were going to get until you opened the bag.

Well, this post isn't about those kind of Lucky Bags at all. This post is about a beautiful bag I was lucky enough to win in a giveaway.

It was before I went on holiday that I entered a giveaway on Jill's I Should Have Listened To My Mother blog, and whilst I was away, Jill's daughter, Violet, pulled out my name as the winner.

I returned home from holiday to a beautifully wrapped and decorated parcel.

Inside was a parcel wrapped in tissue paper and a cute little ladybird card.

The bag is absolutely beautiful. Made by Jill herself from three fabrics from Amy Butler's Love collection. It has lovely long handles and sits so comfortably on my shoulder.

I couldn't get the colour of the inner fabric right, my camera just wouldn't pick it up, but you can see it on Jill's We Have A Winner post.

Thank you so much, Jill. I'm thrilled with the bag and it will get plenty of use.

Do pop over and say hi to Jill if you haven't discovered her wonderful blog already. I'm always in awe of all the wonderful things she makes, do take a peek if you have time.

I'm thinking of holding another giveaway when I get back from holiday, so you may get lucky for the third time!
Would you believe that I've had another commission, this time it's for one of my World Map Beach bags - it's all very exciting!

    1. You're very welcome, and they're definitely deserved. I do hope my readers will stop by your blog, they won't be disappointed if they do. I adore the bag. I'm guilty of using plastic carrier bags which don't do the environment one bit of good, so I'm over the moon. Not only have I got a bag which can be used again and again, but it's so beautiful. The fabrics are gorgeous. I don't come in to contact with lots of fabric because I'm not a sewer, but I know what I like when I see it, and this is it. I can definitely believe that you've had another commission, your work is fabulous and I absolutely love the World Map Beach Bag so I can understand exactly why someone would want one. Thanks again for hosting the giveaway, I'm over the moon to have won.
