First Photos

I thought I'd show you the first photos I took with my new camera. I used it properly for the first time when we went for a walk in Bluebell Wood, a few posts back, but beforehand, I'd tried out the camera on my favourite model.

I think they came out rather well. Of course, it could just be that Archie's got the cute factor.

    1. He is, and he knows it. He only has to give me a look to get his own way.

  5. Archie is cute! I think you can tell that you are using a quality camera - it's something about the clarity of the photographs I think. K has a DSLR and took our robin photo with it. Your photos of Archie have a similar clarity in the details to that.

    1. Thank you for visiting and leaving a comment. These photos were taken on a rare sunny day and Archie loves to sit in the sun, so he was perhaps a little more patient than he would have been usually.

  14. According to Mr Sft 'all the top photographers go for a digital SLR over anything else'. So that must be you then Jo!

Seriously though, I have camera envy, those photos of Archie are incredible, you can see every fine hair.

I think you were very wise saving up for it over time.

Lovely Bank Holiday photos and I have enjoyed visiting Holmfirth, Skipton and the Bluebell woods with you too.

    1. I'm definitely not a top photographer, I don't even understand cameras, I'm hoping to learn though. I hate wasting money given to me as a gift so I think I've spent my birthday and Christmas money wisely. I thought you'd enjoy the Bluebell Wood post, I remember how much you like bluebells.

  19. I love King Charles Spaniels. I think they're so friendly and Archie is very cute. Great shots and he would be pleased with the portrait if he could say so!! I'm sure he loved the attention anyway.

    1. I didn't really know much about Cavaliers until I started doing a bit of research prior to getting Archie. They're fantastic family dogs, I'd wholeheartedly recommend them. He does love lots of attention, he's a proper pampered pooch.
