Look who came home from work with Mick on Friday. Let me introduce you to Mrs Prickles.
One of the ladies at Mick's work makes and sells these hedgehogs for charity. It's actually much bigger than it looks in the photo, about eleven inch by eight inch, and about six inches tall, though she makes a smaller version too. Mick could choose the colours he wanted so he went for white for the face and feet and sparkly silver for the spikes. Isn't she cute?
I'm sure anyone would love to own one of these cute little critters and the money raised is being donated to Cancer Research, it's win win all round.
She is lovely, when I first saw it I thought you were have a break from making socks.
ReplyDeleteI can't ever remember knitting a toy before but I've got Edward's Menagerie book waiting for me to give that a go. I'm not sure my crocheting is up to it though.
DeleteWhat a cutie! Great idea.
ReplyDeleteMick said he couldn't resist when he saw it, especially as it's for such a great cause.
DeleteHello Jo - and Hello Mrs Prickles - isn't she great!
ReplyDeleteHappy Bank Holiday Monday, we had heavy rain overnight, which is great for gardens ... not too sure how many real-life hedgehogs would have enjoyed it though!
All the best Jan
She's fabulous, isn't she? We've got typical bank holiday weather here today, dull and rainy. I think I'd go back in to hibernation if I were a hedgehog.
DeleteHe is really cute. As you say win win. Tx
ReplyDeleteI hope she makes a good amount of money for such a great cause.
DeleteHow adorable! Hope she makes lots of money for charity.
ReplyDeleteShe seems to be doing well with sales so she should make quite a bit for charity.
DeleteCan anyone who is interested order a Mrs Prickles? And is there a link to a webpage to place an order?
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately not. The lady is just selling to friends, family and work colleagues. Sorry.
DeleteShe's very cute. I wouldn't have guessed it was that size. I hope the lady makes lots of money for the charity. X
ReplyDeleteIt looks quite small in the photo but she's actually a really good size. Mick said that lots of people were ordering them so I do hope she makes a good amount.
