Joyful World - October

Spot The Difference.

The top photo is progress to date, the bottom photo is from last month.

Quite hard, isn't it? There hasn't been much done on the Joyful World Stitch Along since last month, but there's something else being stitched behind the scenes which I can't talk about on my blog at the moment so there is stitching being done.

I'm determined to get back to Joyful World again though now so that I've got something to show you next month. Now where's my needle?

    1. You're right. It's a busy crafting time in the run up to Christmas so I suppose it's inevitable that some things will have to take a back seat.

  2. I know crafters and stitchers are busy at the moment with Christmas gifts in mind to make. I shall be looking out for those craft fairs that are starting to take place now as I don't do much crafting myself. I'm sure you'll enjoy getting back to Joyful World stitching when you can. Happy stitching Jo!

    1. I think the cooler weather encourages crafters to get busy again too as well as Christmas gifts being in mind, it's a busy time. Craft fairs are such a good idea for those who aren't crafty themselves.

  3. Secret stitching sounds like fun. I saw the Joyful World sal when it first came out and was very tempted to join in, but I had, and still have, far too many stitchy things in my hoops and q snaps, so I've just been enjoying seeing everyone else's lovely progress on flosstube.

    1. I'm really enjoying my secret stitching, it's giving me a break from Joyful World for a while. I didn't know anything about flosstube so I've just googled it, hmmm, I think you may have just lost me a few hours today, ha ha.

    1. It does, it's definitely not like crochet which seems to grow really quickly. There hasn't been much done on it this month though.

    1. I knew when I started it that it would be a long term project, but it's nice to put it to one side every so often to work on other things.

    1. You're right. I'm not rushing to get it done, it's a lovely project and enjoyable to work on, but there are lots of other things I want to do at the same time.

  12. It may be slow, but sure! that´s the great thing about cross stitch being able to pick up from where you left it and carry on when you can. Your secret stitching sounds intriguing, have a great weekend xcx

    1. I like that it's a project that can be picked up when the urge takes me or put down when I have other things to work on. It will take some time to complete but it's definitely enjoyable to work on.

  13. Good Afternoon Jo, I find if I have been doing a project for too long, I need to take a little break. At the moment I am alternating between crochet and quilting. I am trying to finish a crochet quilt for my youngest daughter for Christmas and a patchwork Christmas quilt for my eldest daughter. Thank heavens the evenings are closing in, because it makes me sit down to either crochet or sew, whichever the fancy takes.
Your cross stitch is lovely.... I'm intriqued about the 'behind the scenes' work.
    Best wishes

    1. I think it is good to take a break from a project every so often then you don't get bored with it. I find I have a renewed interest for a project if I've been working on something else for a while. I haven't picked my crochet hook up for some time now but I'm sure I'll be reaching for it once the winter months arrive. I'd love to do some quilting but it's a craft that's passed me by, perhaps I'll give it a go one of these days.
