It's Swap Time

If you've joined in with my Twelve Days Of Christmas swap, then your parcels should be posted off no later than tomorrow.

I've wrapped all my gifts up and they're now winging their way through the postal system to Marlene from Simply Living who I'm partnered with.

Marlene is obviously a much more organised person than I am as I've already received the gifts from her.

It was so exciting opening up the box, even Archie couldn't resist a sniff.

They've been put away now until Christmas Day when the first of the twelve gifts will be opened up.

I'm doing a Twelve Days Of Christmas swap with Lisa from Jumble and Jelly again this year too. Her parcel has already been sent off as has the card for the Christmas Card Swap 2015 which Amy from Love Made My Home organised. My partner has stopped writing her blog but she saw the comment I left and still wanted to take part so that's good. She lives in Canada so my card is on it's way across the Atlantic. It's been quite busy getting everything organised.

The only parcel left to send now is the #stitchingsanta Blog Christmas Gift Swap which Sheila organised on her Sewchet blog. I'm very nearly there with everything now so that parcel should be posted next week.

How's everyone else doing with their swaps? Are you all done now or are you still putting last minute things together like me?

I've hardly started thinking about Christmas yet, apart from the swaps. I've bought a couple of things for Daniel, something for his girlfriend and I've got a few bits and pieces for Eleanor which I've picked up throughout the year but apart from that I've got all my gifts to buy. I don't think I've ever been as disorganised as I am this year. There's no decorations up yet, though we never trim up early, that will be done next weekend. Perhaps then it'll start feeling more like Christmas.

    1. Great, I'll be watching out for your swaps next year, they're great fun, aren't they? I feel I've been missing out all these years. Archie doesn't like to be left out of things.

    1. Susan and I met a couple of times whilst she was in England last year, we've become very good friends. I think it's much harder to buy for the kids now they're older, especially Daniel, I never know what to buy for him so he ends up with money which he's always grateful for.

    1. I'm sure it will be there soon. Parcels can take a little while to get over the pond, especially at this time of year.

  9. Jo and I have already received our parcels, but I've not opened mine as it looks too tempting, so it is currently sitting in the spare bedroom. Thanks so much for organising this swap as I've really enjoyed and meeting another lovely blogger has been great. We've decided that we need to keep in touch. We are having Xmas today at DD's as they will be away for about 3 weeks over the festive season. Next week I have to do the Xmas cards and a few very small gifts to friends. We'll be just two oldies for Xmas day and may take a picnic lunch to the hills or beach. Thanks again and take care.

    1. It's good to know that the parcels have been received, especially with them travelling so far. I hope you enjoy your Christmas at your daughter's. A Christmas day picnic sounds wonderful, not something we'd be able to do here with our weather.

  10. You sound highly organised to me you have already sorted twenty four presents and a card sent internationally! That would be enough to finish me off!

    1. Ha ha, it's been at the expense of sorting out family gifts. I've made some lists today so I'm feeling slightly better about things now, just got to source everything.

    1. I've managed to get quite a bit done this weekend so I'm not feeling quite so behind with things now. All the trimmings will go up this coming weekend and then I'll really start to feel in the Christmassy spirit. I'm looking forward to hearing about everyone's swaps too, it's all very exciting.
