It's habit, when I go to the supermarket, to look in the cabinet where the reduced items are. I've picked up many a bargain this way. Mick's totally on board with my money saving schemes, and when he goes to the supermarket alone, he does the same thing.
Last night, he popped out to get some provisions for our picnic today and came back with these Ferrero Rochers for me, he knows how much I love them. They had been reduced from £4.00 to just £1.00. I've only had the ones in the gold wrappers before, so I'll enjoy trying the other varieties.
I'm trying to lose a few pounds again, but I don't mind coming off my diet for a while whilst I indulge, afterall, it's not everyday you find these kind of bargains.
Great bargain and well done Mick for finding the reductions in the supermarket. My Hubby wouldn't have a clue where the reductions are in our local supermarket. Come to think of it; don't think he'd find the supermarket he goes that rearly lol x
ReplyDeleteMick goes to the supermarket more often than I do, and I have to say that he's very good at finding the bargains. He actually knows the prices of things we use regularly from one supermarket to another, so knows where to shop to get the best price.
DeleteThat's the kind of bargain I like! I've only tried the gold wrapped ones too. Enjoy, and have a lovely picnic too :) xx
ReplyDeleteI've tried all the varieties now and love them all, I can't say which are my favourites.
DeleteMy Michael has finally got his head round looking at price per Kilo/100gm so the reduced section is his next learning curve.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting and leaving a comment. It sounds like Michael shops better than I do, I can never get my head round the price per kilo/100gm.
DeleteIf you need an excuse consider them a Bank Holiday treat! Flighty xx
ReplyDeleteI can always find an excuse, a Bank Holiday treat crops up several times a year.
DeleteHow could you resist a chocolately bargain like that?!
ReplyDeleteLisa x
I couldn't, but I was good and shared them.
DeleteThey're a fabulous bargain! Enjoy every morsel. x
ReplyDeleteWe took them on our picnic with us and shared them, they were delicious.
DeleteI think, given what a bargain they were, that is would be rude not to eat a couple! x
ReplyDeleteI totally agree. I really enjoyed them.
DeleteThey'll taste all the sweeter because they were such a good buy and that Hubby was thoughtful to bring them home. The little critters in my last post are indeed baby squirrels that were orphaned by a big wind storm when the tree was toppled that I hand fed and reared to maturity. They were ever so entertaining.
ReplyDeleteSusan x
I was quite surprised when Mick handed them to me. The baby squirrels are so cute. Such a shame they were orphaned but lucky that you were on hand to help them on their way.
DeleteI always buy these as presents for our daughters as they are favourites and, of course, there's the Italian connection! You got an enjoyable bargain there!
ReplyDeleteI often get them bought as presents too, as I'm rather partial to them. They're very moreish though, you can't only eat one at once.
DeleteNever tried them, but I do love dark chocolate, plain, ginger or mint.
ReplyDeleteYou're missing a treat, they're delicious. I'd only ever tried the ones in the gold wrappers before, but now I've tried them all and they're all equally as scrumptious.
