I thought I'd show you the first photos I took with my new camera. I used it properly for the first time when we went for a walk in Bluebell Wood, a few posts back, but beforehand, I'd tried out the camera on my favourite model.
I think they came out rather well. Of course, it could just be that Archie's got the cute factor.
Lovely photographs from your new camera, and I do agree, Archie does have the cute factor, he's lovely :-)
ReplyDeleteArchie is such a cutie, I could take photo after photo of him.
DeleteSo cute and fab photos :-)
ReplyDeleteI was really pleased with the photos, especially as they were the first ones I took with the camera.
DeleteOh tell me about it! Bing is the most photographed pup I know!
ReplyDeleteCute pups are such great subjects.
DeleteHe is soooooooooooooooo cute!!!
ReplyDeleteJulie
He is, and he knows it. He only has to give me a look to get his own way.
DeleteArchie is cute! I think you can tell that you are using a quality camera - it's something about the clarity of the photographs I think. K has a DSLR and took our robin photo with it. Your photos of Archie have a similar clarity in the details to that.
ReplyDeleteYou're right. I've only used the auto setting so far but the pictures are very crisp. I'm really pleased with my new camera.
DeleteArchie is beyond cute. He's adorable! :o)
ReplyDeleteHe is, but then so is Rosie. There's something about Cavaliers, they're such cuties.
DeleteYou've definitely captured Archie's cute factor. x
ReplyDeleteThe camera never lies, or so they say.
DeleteYep plenty of cuteness!
ReplyDeleteBut they are really crisp and clear too.

I'm really pleased with the photos. I'm going to enjoy learning how to use the camera properly.
DeleteTerrific photos which capture 'that' look perfectly. Flighty xx
ReplyDeleteHe does 'that' look to perfection.
DeleteStunning photos - the second one in particular is super. You will love getting to grips with your new camera. Taking photos is very addictive.
ReplyDeleteJune
I could take photos of Archie all day. I'm looking forward to learning a bit more about photography, it could become very addictive.
DeleteArchie would make any photo look good he's such a cute dog!! Seriously Jo, I think they are lovely photos, very clear and detailed.X
ReplyDeleteI'm really pleased with the photos, especially for my first attempt.
DeleteHe really is cute Jo and well done with the camera.
ReplyDeleteThese were only taken on the automatic setting so I'm looking forward to learning more about the camera and seeing what else it can do.
DeleteHello - I've just come across your lovely photos of Archie. He is very cute and obviously doesn't mind having his photo taken; he looks very patient.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting and leaving a comment. These photos were taken on a rare sunny day and Archie loves to sit in the sun, so he was perhaps a little more patient than he would have been usually.
DeleteAccording to Mr Sft 'all the top photographers go for a digital SLR over anything else'. So that must be you then Jo!
ReplyDeleteSeriously though, I have camera envy, those photos of Archie are incredible, you can see every fine hair.
I think you were very wise saving up for it over time.
Lovely Bank Holiday photos and I have enjoyed visiting Holmfirth, Skipton and the Bluebell woods with you too.

I'm definitely not a top photographer, I don't even understand cameras, I'm hoping to learn though. I hate wasting money given to me as a gift so I think I've spent my birthday and Christmas money wisely. I thought you'd enjoy the Bluebell Wood post, I remember how much you like bluebells.
DeleteHe certainly is cute or should I say handsome.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new toy!
Susan x
I suppose he is handsome, he's a big boy now, three years old.
DeleteHe can sense the seriousness of the situation.... "Mum's got a new toy and I've got to look just right!!!" Have a good weekend. Jx
ReplyDeleteI think you're right, he gets fed up of me telling him to sit still.
DeleteThey're lovely photos, but yes, he has the cute factor, big time!
ReplyDeleteI think it's undeniable, Archie's incredibly cute.
DeleteWhat a cute little face!:)
ReplyDeleteI could just squeeze his little face, but of course I don't.
DeleteI love King Charles Spaniels. I think they're so friendly and Archie is very cute. Great shots and he would be pleased with the portrait if he could say so!! I'm sure he loved the attention anyway.
ReplyDeleteI didn't really know much about Cavaliers until I started doing a bit of research prior to getting Archie. They're fantastic family dogs, I'd wholeheartedly recommend them. He does love lots of attention, he's a proper pampered pooch.
