Quality Street, yum yum. My favourite has to be The Purple One, though I'm also rather partial to the Orange Chocolate Crunch and Caramel Swirl too.
I managed to get back on my healthy eating regime for a little while, I don't know if it's because I haven't been very well, first of all suffering with a cold, and then a chest infection, or whether it's the time of year, but I found it hard to keep it up.
I'm not going to go all out to eat healthily over Christmas, I think this is the one time of year when treats are allowed.
So, which is your favourite Quality Street?
If you haven't yet bought a 2013 diary, head over to my other blog, The Good Life, and leave a comment on my giveaway post for a chance to win a lovely illustrated RHS diary.
Ooh the orange is my fave too although I rather like the strawberry cream too. Mum has a tin and whenever I pop in I steal a couple to take home with me!

They're definitely made for sharing.
DeleteNot fussed I'll eat any of them! I read recently that the tins now contain more toffees and fewer chocolates and that the weight has gone down, which is typical of many items sadly! Flighty xx
ReplyDeleteI haven't noticed more toffees than chocolates, but the weight issue seems to be across the board. Do you remember how big some chocolate bars used to be compared to what they're like these days?
DeleteDefinitely purple closely followed by the green triangle!
ReplyDeleteOooh, I like the green triangles too.
DeleteMark loves soft centres, while I adore nuts and caramels. It's definitely the purple one for me! Jx
ReplyDeleteYou've got the perfect husband, one who'll eat the ones you don't like and leave you in peace to eat the ones you do. Mick isn't a big chocolate eater, he prefers liquorice.
DeleteThe orange cream is my favourite in boxes of chocolate. DH likes the nuts and I like the creams. The only ones that get left are the Turkish Delights.
ReplyDeleteLove from Mum
xx
Send the Turkish Delights to me, I love them.
DeleteI have been very good I hide the tin of quality Street so no one would be tempted to start them until Christmas eve. My favourite is the toffee penny. I was reading somewhere that the tins of sweets have been reduced in weight but the price stayed the same.
ReplyDeleteThat's a sign of the times, isn't it? Paying more for less. I always used to go for the toffee pennies when I was little, now I think more of my fillings.
DeleteI think mine has to be the orange crunch, but I havent had any this year, maybe I should sample a few .....!
ReplyDeleteTreat yourself, you know you want to.
DeleteI am so sorry to hear that you had a chest infection... NO BUENO! I hope you are back to yourself.
ReplyDeleteI always bring these tins of candy back home, I've been home nearly 3 weeks now and all the candy is nearly gone.. I guess I'll have to return to London to get some more right?
I'm much better now, thank you, but I've still got a bit of a cough. I think that's a great excuse for another trip to England.
DeleteIf I *have* to choose, I'd have the purple one with the caramel and hazlenut inside it. If I don't have to choose, I'll eat them all thanks! :oD
ReplyDeleteI bought our QS tin a couple of months ago and it's survived this long without opening because it's up in the spare room hidden behind a pile of fabric. If I'd left it on show, it would be long gone!
I only opened the tin to take the photo, it's gone back in the cupboard now, though I'm sure we'll start on them on Christmas Eve.
DeleteDear Jo,
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Christmas and New Year!
We have the QS out too - my fav. is the fudge in the pinky purple wrapper.
June
Thank you. I wish you a merry Christmas too. Enjoy the Quality Street, especially the fudge ones.
DeleteIt is a very hard choice, I think my two favs are the orange and strawberry though. Enjoy the goodies and have a very Merry Christmas x
ReplyDeleteMagie
Thanks, and the same to you too. It's very difficult to choose a favourite amongst them all, I agree.
DeleteThe green triangles ... they're the best! But we never seem to buy any so I can't indulge.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy yours come Christmas :)
I like those too, in fact, I don't think there's any I don't like.
DeleteI am allergic to chocolate so can quite happily pass! Strange yet true. Hubby doesn't particularly like them either so I never buy them.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a lovely Christmas xxx
Being allergic to chocolate can't be much fun. We've had a lovely Christmas, I hope you have too.
