Eleanor got a D in General Studies but she's not really bothered about that as they don't usually take General Studies in to consideration when applying for university. She got an A on the Scientific Domain paper and an E on the Cultural and Social Domains.Johttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17436932004631816039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5605977931488846865.post-76773813018923394962015-08-14T13:16:44.372+01:002015-08-14T13:16:44.372+01:00Hats off for the C in psychology; David scored a U...Hats off for the C in psychology; David scored a U! But truth be told, he hated the subject from the start. He got an A in English Literature and a B in History, but an E in Religious Studies, so this year he will be working twice as hard! Thank God there's a year to go before Uni.<br />Tell Eleanor well done; and don't be disappointed. Her grades are good, and if you weren't going to do well in a set of exams, these are a better set than the full A levels next year or finals at Uni. I see they do General Studies at her school. Wish they'd do that at David's. I remember you telling us about the hard work which KL had put in to improving her grade and how proud of her you were. All we can ask is that they do their best, but when the grades don't match the work they've done it's so disheartening. Eleanor's very determined so I'm sure she'll work her way through. It's disappointing, yes, but she knows what's required of her now and if she's so determined that this university course is the one for her, she'll continue to work hard and will get there in the end. If she doesn't want to do that, then that's fine with us, we just want her to be happy in whatever she chooses to do, I think that's the most important thing.Johttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17436932004631816039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5605977931488846865.post-9930347699228755522015-08-14T10:17:58.650+01:002015-08-14T10:17:58.650+01:00Thank you. It gives them options if they're not doing so well in one of the subjects but as you say, it does encroach on their time so she should have more time this coming year once she goes forward with just three subjects.
