I started off watching it on my own but Mick watched the last series or two and now Eleanor's back home from uni, she's watching this series with us too. James Cracknell was definitely the right choice to go this week. I thought the casting in Bohemian Rhapsody was brilliant, it was just like watching the band, not actors playing them.Johttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17436932004631816039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5605977931488846865.post-66322248801241217832019-10-02T10:02:23.156+01:002019-10-02T10:02:23.156+01:00Strictly really means autumn has begun for me. It's heart wrenching to think what that poor woman has gone through. I've never watched Peaky Blinders but I've heard so much about it that I'm wondering whether to start watching from the beginning, but I don't like violence so I'm not sure it would really be for me. Martin ...I've been watching A Confession, too. Martin Freeman is brilliant but Imelda Staunton almost tore my heart out. It's one of the rare programmes which my husband and I are both watching at the moment. I missed Strictly as I was away last weekend but I'm hoping to catch up with it tomorrow. I often say that it's the only bit of glamour in my life! We're also watching Peaky Blinders, from the beginning; some of it is too violent for me and I don't think I'd watch it on my own but my husband is keen. Of course, there's also the Great British Bake Off, even though I rarely bake - our trade off is that I can watch that and my husband can watch Match of the Day. Finally, I never miss Question Time and I'm glad it's come back early from the summer break. x Mrs Tiggywinklehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18262841220840086776noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5605977931488846865.post-35880680478381326642019-09-26T16:09:20.305+01:002019-09-26T16:09:20.305+01:00I love being able to scroll through adverts, in fa...I love being able to scroll through adverts, in fact, I rarely watch anything these days at the time it's shown on TV, I record just about everything so that I can whizz through the adverts. I've never watched Doc Martin, which is a shame really as I do like Martin Clunes. There's some really good actors in A Confession, it's harrowing to think what those poor girls went through and also what the poor families left behind have had to endure. Mick often says he doesn't want to watch something I've taped but I put it on anyway and he's engrossed. I think I know what he enjoys more than he does himself.Johttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17436932004631816039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5605977931488846865.post-92195713999299858722019-09-26T11:53:41.989+01:002019-09-26T11:53:41.989+01:00We've recently got one of those boxes from our...We've recently got one of those boxes from our internet service provider where you can record, scroll passed adverts etc. We have inbuilt Freeview television, but this package gives us more channels including some of the arts programmes I find interesting. We also got a television with a bigger screen after our television of over ten years stopped working. Our daughter helped us sort this out when she was here to stay in the holidays and I must say television watching is so much more enjoyable. There are quite a few new series coming up for the autumn season. We enjoy Strictly and now Doc Martin has started. The Confession has been interesting too as all the actors are so talented and it's thought provoking to know that this drama is based on a real criminal investigation that happened a few years ago. Fortunately Mr P and I enjoy the same sort of programmes although I do record a movie so that he sometimes sits and relaxes in an afternoon whilst I might read or doze off for a bit.
