My two had a wonderful school library and brought home some fantastic books. They even bought books in when Daniel requested specific titles. My teachers know few picture books - lots do not read at all. Quite a few do not even bring their classes into the library. I've resigned and there is no replacement, so 8 years will go down the hill! I've boxes of my children's old books up in the attic and still own a lot of my own childhood books too - I don't remember the Hungry Caterpillar either.Kimberley https://www.blogger.com/profile/17146156270002756428noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5605977931488846865.post-87322979082614142642017-07-08T17:10:32.872+01:002017-07-08T17:10:32.872+01:00I didn't have the book either when I was a chi...I didn't have the book either when I was a child, I'd have, perhaps, given it a miss for my own two if I had.Johttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17436932004631816039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5605977931488846865.post-81898772304022826752017-07-08T16:39:26.860+01:002017-07-08T16:39:26.860+01:00I think everyone has read The Very Hungry Caterpil...I think everyone has read The Very Hungry Caterpillar at some point or other. One Fish, Two Fish and Mr. Brown Can Moo) but the top one was probably Goodnight Moon. This is one of the most popular bedtime books on this side of the pond and was first published back in the 1940's. What's funny is that when I first purchased it, I wasn't that impressed and wondered what all the fuss was about. It totally grew on us, however, and the kids LOVED it and would have such fun "reading" along and finding the different objects that the bunny was saying goodnight to - such wonderful memories.Margarethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15949946977793864054noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5605977931488846865.post-89204044227430898202017-07-07T16:04:31.776+01:002017-07-07T16:04:31.776+01:00Thank you.Thank you.Johttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17436932004631816039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5605977931488846865.post-7145232953520966192017-07-07T13:31:58.832+01:002017-07-07T13:31:58.832+01:00Love.
